Today I had to push myself to practice. It is Friday and I’m tired and it’s a humid 82 degrees. I think I will start practicing earlier in the day moving forward since summer is already here in VA! I also decided to put on a cute yoga outfit that my friend, Su, sent me as a gift from her company Free Love. Thank you, Su! Then I went into my peaceful yoga room and voila! It is so true that if one is fortunate enough to have a space they can practice regularly, it get imbued with the yoga/meditation vibe and triggers something when you return there. This week I have been doing lots of TRX, Kettlebells and Pilates and so today’s practice I focussed on releasing my quads and doing lots and lots of twist to soften my back muscles. That led me to Ustrasana. Then, as always, sirsasana, salamba sarvangasana, supta baddhakonasana and the Dedication of Merit. PS — one thing that is great about doing this selfie thing is that I can see what I need to work on — like my hyper-extended elbows!
