IN PERSON: The Dharma of Engaged Practice

  • Tibet House US 22 West 15th Street New York, NY, 10011 United States (map)

The Dharma of Engaged Practice is a vibrant approach to meditation and movement practice which flows from the understanding that all beings everywhere are interdependent. What we say and what we do has consequences; acknowledging this is the foundation of Engaged Practice and a path to growing our own capacity as full human beings.

This special weekend workshop with world-renowned yoga and meditation teacher Cyndi Lee will explore embodied movement through accessible stretching, restorative yoga, pranayama, body scanning and grounding touch. The reading, writing, discussion, and dharma talks are drawn from traditional yoga and Mahayana Buddhist teachings of compassion, ethics, sustainability, radical inclusivity, motivation, and dedication. Each session will include meditation practice and Q&A. This work is about presence, stability, nimbleness, curiosity and nourishment; it is not goal-oriented or performative, and is available to every body and every person.

This class is for anybody who wants to:
